Caravan blower resistor problem

2003 Dodge Caravan, 3.3, 136,000 km

The heater fan stopped operating on middle blower settings, and dealer replaced resistor. However, after two days, problem returned. Dealer suggesting blower may need replacing, but it operate fine on 'high' setting.
Any other suggestions please?

I would expect a short in the circuit to eihter have blown a fuse or blown the blower motor?

You could have a problem with the wiring, blower motor itself. I would do a continuity test of the wiring and the motor to see if either are grounded.
