2003 Dodge Caravan 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

My motor needs to be replaced on my 2003 dodge caravan. 4 cyl.
What is the average cost to replace the engine in these vans?

The engine and labor (used engine) average around 2500.00 where I am in PA. I'm not sure where you are located.

Im in california. I got qouted $1,500.
Thats for 14 hours of labor at $65.00 an hour & about $600 for the motor.
But everywhere online I look says it sould be alot more. Im a little confused.

Are they offering a warranty? Also, most shops are at a higher labor rate. If they guarantee the work and the engine, I would jump on it. Just make sure it is a good shop.
