Hi:
ASD (Auto Shut Down) The ASD Relay provides power for the coil and other essential circuits. This relay is activated only for a few seconds when the key is first turned on and remains on as long as the PCM receives a crank signal. Is the crank sensor good? If there is no signal from the crank sensor, the ASD will shut down and the car will not start.

I hope this helps you.

Joe
