I have a 2001 Dodge Caravan. The check engine light is on and if checked it says the o2 sensor is bad. Does this effect the heating of the vehicle? If van is idling the temp gauge will warm up and the heat will warm then once you begin driving down the road the temp gauge will drop back down and the heat will not blow as hot. Is this problem related to the o2 sensor?

Faulty O2 sensor has nothing to do with your overheating/cooling problem. Sounds like your thermostat is stuck closed. You may want to remove the thermostat, check it and replace if it is bad.
