2000 Dodge Caravan clicking sound when heater is turned on

Hi bob and ken,
looking forward that you can help me again. It's winter time again here in canada and here is the annoying noise again everytime I turn my heater on. It only happens when the heater in on and everything is ok when the ac is on. What must be the problem? Thanks once again.

Start by locating the source of the noise. Is it under the hood, or is it in the cabin. If it is under the hood, is it by the belt? If it is in the cabin, pinpoint the location where it is coming from? Is it coming from under the glove compartment, driver side, behind the radio. Etc. Does the noise pitch and volume stay the same regardless of vehicle speed?
