My engine is making a knocking noise, I know that means I need a new engine or a rebuilt one. Could you tell me how much this is going to cost me?

Hi:
To replace the engine you are looking around 2K for the engine and 5 hundred in labor. I recommend you visit a nationally recognized parts store. Many of them offer remanufactured engines.

You also may be able to get a good one from a salvage yard. Also, ask your mechanic if your engine is repairable. It may need new bearings and a crank.
