1999 Dodge Caravan with 134, 00 miles. Sometimes when vehicle is running and I am sitting at a light and then proceed the vehicle will not shift to a higher gear. The service engine light will come on. If I pull over and wait a minute or so and restart everything works fine. If I restart 3 time the service engine soon light will go out. This is not an everyday occurance, just once in awhile.

You need to check the computer for a code that is likley related to the transmission. The transmission fluid and filter should be changed every 30,000. There may be something sticking. Valve, solenoid?
