I WAS GOING UP A HILL THE OTHER DAY AND MY CARAVAN JUST DIED. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER. I COULD NOT GET IT TO START WOULD NOT TURN OVER. I HAD TO BE TOWED HOME. WENT OUT TO VAN THAT NIGHT TO GET A SET OF KEYS AND BATTERY WAS DEAD. NOT SURE WHAT IS GOING ON. MY CARAVAN IS NOW JUST SITTING.

nothing went dim at all. It just died. No weird noises or anything. Is the weirdest thing.

Need some more information. Do you recall if any powered item went dim or down right before van died? Did you have the headlights on or stereo and notice a lack of juice before dying? It may be that your alternator or even battery is bad. You can take the battery to Advanced and they will test it for you. They will even charge it so you can drive the van down there and have the alternator tested. Those are two likely items, did you have any thing turned on that could have finished draining the battery? Were the lights dim when you tried to start it the first time?

This had nothing to do with power steering. But check your belt. If the belt is a surpinteen belt (meaning only one belt for the engine) and it broke, then that is the problem and VERY easy to fix. Check the belt and not my spelling and get back to me.
