1998 Dodge Caravan Thermostat

It takes about 7 minutes of driving at 45 degrees fahrenheit for the temp gauge to budge and 15 minutes of driving for the gauge to get to 1/2 of full operating temp. Is this normal. I do not want to test the thermostat since u ahve to take it out might as well change it tehn for the work involved

That sounds a little slower than normal. Chances are it isn't closing the entire way and that is why it is taking longer than normal.

I agree with you, if you remove it, just replace it.
