Hi I bought a 97 caravan for cheap , but when I start it in the morning it doesnt want to go into gear. You have to warm the van up before it will move. It runs fine once its warm, you couldnt know anything is wrong. But when I checked the tranny fluid it show's that its to full. Is there any way to fix it or is the tranny need to fixed or replaced?

First, remove the excess trans fluid. In your original posting, you said it was too full. Next, let me know if the check engine light has come on when this happens. Finally, if there is no light, you may have to have the front pump / torque converter checked.

Let me know what you find.

I need you to have the computer scanned. Most parts stores will do it for free. If the light is on, there is a trouble code stored in it that should help us identify where the problem is coming from.

Have that done and let me know what you find.
