1994 Dodge Caravan thermostat

I will be driving my van and the tempature gage will be on cold but then when I stop at a stop light or any where and the van is just ideling it warms up what is going on.

Hi:
It sounds like the t-stat needs replaced. It actually sounds stuck open. When you drive, the engine can't warm up, but when you stop, the coolant circulation slows and allows the engine the chance to warm up.
