My AC is not turning on; i.E, the clutch is not engaging. My mechanic has checked out everything else in the ac system. He is not getting any signal from the PCM and suspects that there is something wrong with the PCM. The PCM may also just have experienced a glitch and needs to be reset or reprogrammed. Is there a way to check if the PCM is really bad? All the other functions seems to be ok. Can the PCM be reset? Or reprogrammed? Without having to go to the dealer?

Nope. The only way to test a pcm is through the dealer, and at that point its cheaper to get it reflashed. Im still baffled at why your mechanic thinks its the pcm. My suggestion is bring it to another garage for a second opinion. If the clutch isnt engaging, you may have a simple problem such as a bad high pressure switch, or even a broken/corroded wire. Get a 2nd opinion.

He said that all the other components checked out fine. It's just the PCM is not sending any signal to engaged the clutch. He can do that by bypassing the pcm manually.
So who can reflash the PCM? Sounds like I have to go back to the dealer also.
I'll check with another garage.
Thanks.
