Within the last week, I replaced both the battery and the alternator on my 2007 Dodge Caliber but the check engine light is still on and the battery light comes on after I've driven several miles. What else could be wrong?

Start by getting your code's read see if they will read them at a auto part's store like auto zone. Also have your alternator tested in case you might have gotten a bad one. Let me know what the code number's are and what you find.

By the time I headed out that evening to have the codes read, both lights were no longer on. Later that evening we had a major rain storm so I had to drive that night using the A/C, lights, windshield wipers. So far the lights have not come back on. I'll get back to you if they do. Thank you for your assistance so far.
