Distributor wire

I recently replaced the spark plug wires and the wire that is not attaced to a plug that runs from the distributor to another part (not sure what the part is called), but this part is loose, is it supposed to be bolted to the motor? It looks as though it had a bolt on it at one time and I need to see if I need to bolt it back to the engine. I assume it leads to the ignition but I am not sure.

Nothing should be hanging free under the hood. Yes, bolt it back up to where it seems to go.

That part that is not bolted down is the ignition coil. It is supposed to be bolted down under the throttle cables and next to the transmission filler plug.
