Hello, my cavalier has started showing 7 dash lights including the following: tac off, theft system, service light, abs, brake, air bag, check gages. Also, the odometer reads ERROR and the other gages go to zero like the gas, temp and rpm. This seems to mostly happen when I hit a bump but not all the time. I have replaced the daylight running light relay and the headlight fuses. I have also cleaned the grounds around the battery and cleaned the battery side posts. I did see some corrosion on the battery cable where it bolts to the battery tray. I ran a negative black wire from where the battery is bolted to the engine block to the frame of the car. Would this not be bypassing the corrosion part? I have suspected the BCM going bad. What shops program them? Also, my daylight running lights are staying on about 30 min after I have turned the car off.

Hello, I have looked under the dash on the left side and I can't locate any grounds. Where exactly are they located? Only grounds I could find are under the hood. Thanks.

Oic, do u think it could be the bcm is bad? I would think if it was the grounds, the daylight running lights would not stay on. I know the bcm controls them. Just a thought, thanks. I am taking it to a shop if I don't fix it before then. I have a new bcm from amazon and I thought about just hooking it up and seeing if it fixes it. Does it always have to be programmed? Amazon said it fits the car. If I hook the new one up, will it mess up anything to not allow me to put the old one back in? Thanks.
