hi.
i was told my car had a suspect headgasket. it had not been overheated nor has it run out of water but it uses quite abit of water.
was just wondering if you knew how much longer i would be able to drive around in it before the head gasket blew? and how much it would cost to repair it?
Thanx

Hi Naaaygeee,

Thank you for the donation.

If coolant is depleting from the system, it could be due to a leakage somewhere.

Is the reserve tank over flowng or depleting as well? If it is overflowing, the youeither have a bad gasket or radiator cap.

If it is depleting, you have a leak soewhere and is not a faulty head gasket.

Ho w long it will last would depend on the condition of the damage now, if any.

As to cost, it would depenmd on the location and amount of damage. It is best to check with a few of your local garages to get some quotations.
