I have the car listed above and was wondering everything I need to put a y8 head on a y7 block. I know I need the vtec wires and the y8 ECU but what else would I need or is that all I would need?

The y8 and y7 block are the same except the y8 has a knock sensor. The y7 is tapped for a sensor but just not drilled out. So I don't think you will have any issues putting that head on that block. If your vehicle calls for the y8 head then you should be fine if you are just changing the block.

I am just reading this in the manual and I have not done it so I am not talking from experience on this one. It may be worth while to ask around on some forums for those that have done this. The Civic forums are full of people who have done every sort of swap imaginable with these engines.

Let us know if you have other questions. Thanks
