Crank position sensor

This is a B250,1990,318.
I was told it does not have a crank position sensor but the store says it does.

Cannot find it. I was told I would have to replace it after replacing the pick up coil.

I did MAP, I did Thermo temperature sensor and still it cuts off sometimes at a stop.

Especially after I disconnect the battery and reinstall.

How could this one year not have a crank position sensor? And it is not in the distributor as some one here said. That would be the camshaft sensor.

What is the deal? Help?

There is no CPS according to Prodemand. There is a crank angle sensor that is mounted on the bellhousing of the transmission, which is probably what the parts store people are pulling up.
