Coolant color

Hi, I was checking the coolant when I saw the coolant color is like red or pink I would like to know why I saw that color instead green color?

There are all kinds of different coolants now and they have different colors to tell them apart. One red one in particular is "Dex-Cool". That causes a lot of problems in GM vehicles if it is not replaced every two years. Acids build up in the cooling system and antifreeze has additives to neutralize that. Those additives wear out in about two years, then radiators and heater cores start to corrode.
