I would like to put the computer from a 2002 Expedition in the Explorer

I know it would have to be flashed, but if I take all the other computer components from the expedition it should run. Now my question is, what all would I have to swap from the Expedition to the Explorer for the computer to think it was in its original car?

Good evening,

The Explorer did offer the V8 engine in 2002.

Does the Expedition have the 5.4 or 4.6 motor?

As long as the donor is the 4.6, all you have to do is have it flashed to that motor. Part of the flashing is entering the VIN number so it will communicate with the other modules.
