On a cold start (cars been sitting for about 10-12 hours) I hear this quick noise that sounds like belt friction. I uploaded a full start up video and a smaller video that dials in at the exact time it makes the noise. It’s not consistent noise right now (except for consistently brief on cold starts) but it does seem to be getting worse at times.

Thanks for the videos they help, yes it does sound like the serpentine belt needs to be replaced or tightened up. Here is how the job is done. Check out the images (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Okay I’ll give it a try. Does it get loose as the car cools down or something? Because it doesn’t happen on warm starts or after turning off the car immediately after a cold start and then starting it back up while the car is still cold.

Yes, when the belt heats up it can have better friction, to be sure it is the belt you can remove it and then start the engine for a minute to make sure the noise is gone.
