My car was giving an error codes P0720 and P0700 is indicated my vehicle speed sensor was bad. I replaced the vehicle speed sensor and cleared the codes and the engine light and D4 light immediately came back on. The speedometer is working correctly. But my odometer is not working it is shifting normally and starting fine but my d4 is still blinking and engine light still on.

Hi Bluelinetx,

Two questions, one do you still have the same two codes?

Second, when you say you replaced the speed sensor, which one did you replace? The P0720 DTC is for the countershaft speed sensor but you have a mainshaft speed sensor as well, so is there a chance you replaced this one instead?

The P0700 is just telling you that there is another code that needs addressed which is obviously the P0720. If you still have the same codes, and this is the sensor you replaced then I would test wiring.

I attached the documents that you will need for this. Let me know and we can go from there. Thanks
