Idles good. It misfires when you start to drive ! Gets better the faster you go! But engine light comes on and blinks. And the bell rings?

Hi,

It sounds like an ignition-related issue. Has a tune-up been done on the vehicle recently? Also, since it is a P0300, it is random. However, the flashing light usually indicates a specific cylinder or cylinders are misfiring. Is that the only code that was found?

You may want to remove a couple of spark plugs to inspect their conditions. Here is a link that explains how to replace spark plugs. Use this to remove them.

Also, there are several other things that can cause it, but spark plugs (if old) are the most common.

I attached the diagnostics below for the code. Take a look through it and let me know if you are comfortable doing it. If you need help, let me know.

Take care,

Joe
