Short version, my up set boy friend, kicked gear shifter from passenger seat repeatedly while in neutral and stopped. Whole vertical shifting became diagonal a little to the left. Lost first gear first. Could not shift into it or "find it" then three days later started slipping. Friend fixed gear shifter handle and is back to regular up/down motion, but still slips, good news, can find first and can engage, but barely moves in any gear, reverse was fine but since the fix it slips as well. Buddy checked the forks says they are not bent. Another friend said he would not be able to check through the cab by removing the shifter. Who is right?
Clutch and transmission worked fine before this kicking incident.
Any ideas?
Fluid level is topped off. There was a slight leak coming through the firewall before this occurred leaking inside.by pedal.
My friend said he added a washer and that stopped the leak.
