So I have the vehicle listed above Pinin 1.8 petrol Permanent 4wd. It makes a really bad clunking noise under hard acceleration. I have checked driveshafts and CV joints and believe these to be okay. When inside the car and it makes the noise it sounds like it’s coming from right underneath gear stick,
I was thinking maybe it’s the front prop but any advice would be great.
Thanks

It is hard to know for sure as this is caused by a drive-line component that is moving when you are torquing it. Can you get a recording of the noise and maybe that will help figure this out. Also, removing the front prop shaft will help limit the system to see if it does this when it is removed. If not, then clearly it is something in the front.

Let me know about the video so we can hear it and then if you are able to remove the front shaft and go from there.
