Starting and stalling turning the key does nothing dash lights continue to turn on?

Hello
this vehicle will attempt to start 3 times. It starts and runs for 2 seconds and stalls after 3 attempts of starting and stalling turning the key does nothing dash lights continue to turn on but the engine will not crank the situation has resolved itself on 2 previous occasions after about a 15 minute delay the most recent situation required a tow and mechanical inspection with no problems found the dealer kept it for a week and the engine always stared so no help any thoughts? OK have you pulled the starter to have it checked to see if does this off the car? There is a copper disc inside the starter and there may be a bad spot on it and when you land on that spot it won't turn the engine over. If you have a place that rebuilds starters and alternators then I would take it to them as the part that commonly goes bad is about 5 buck and most places will charge about 30 to put it in. Hope this helps.

Have you found the solution to your T&C starting problems?

I have a 1998 T&C 145k miles and the exact same symptons. After replacing the starter and battery I'm having the same intermittent problems starting. It's currently in the shop with no symptoms, until of course my wife gets stranded with it again.
