1998 Chrysler Town and Country

Electrical problem
1998 Chrysler Town and Country Automatic 142000 miles

Occasionally, when we start my van and take off, the odometer and similiar gauges are frozen on zero and stay that way until the van is shut off and turned on again. Now, the check engine light is on, the ABS and other dash lights are on too. Also when we start the van, it seems to make a clicking noise and the lights flicker on and off before it starts up all the way.
The starter is new in the last 2 months. Any help you could offer would be appreciated.
