1996 Chrysler Town and Country warning chime

Electrical problem
1996 Chrysler Town and Country 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

After starting car, about 15-20 seconds, chime starts ringing. Doors are closed, seatbelts are all fastened, turn signal is neutral. Sometimes it seams as if it has a cadence or 10-12 chimes then a small silence and then it starts again.
I have taken it to a service shop but to no avail.

Hi:
Did they replace the switch in the door jam? It sounds like it may be shorting out inside allowing power to get to the chimes. Also, do the interior lights come on?

No problem with the interior lights.
The garage mechanic says we need a new circuit board at $700.00 for the board! I could probably fincd a board at a junk yard.
