my windshield wipers stopped working the other day so i went to the mechanic and they said i needed a motor replaced on the wipers. They replaced my motor but then the next day after they inspected the car the wipers stopped again. and they won't work at all. the fluid comes out of the washer but the blades won't move.

Have your mechanic use a grounded test light to measure the voltage on the case of the motor. If the test light lights up, the ground strap is burned open. This is a real common problem that most professionals have seen before. Just run a new ground wire from the motor to the body.

If you look at the mounting plate for the motor, you'll see the three bolts are mounted on rubber bushings to isolate vibration. They prevent a good ground connection, so one of the bolts has a brass strap under its head. That's where the bad connection develops.
