Engine Mechanical problem
2000 Chrysler Sebring 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I bought a 2000 Sebring Lxi and the car was taken to a Dodge Repair center and did a 23 pt inspection on te car. Told me tat the distributor was bad, so I went and bought a new one and replaced it. Well I put it the same way I took it out and it still wont start. Please let me know if I'm doing something wrong or not at all the right thing. Or at least a diagram of what I need to do.

First of all, was it running before you replaced the distributor? If it was, what was the symptom that led to the diagnosis? If it wasn't running, there would appear to be a mis-diagnosis that would have been evident if you had let the mechanic install the distributor.

Was the "Check Engine" light on? If so, did anyone read the diagnostic fault code? Did anyone check the camshaft position sensor?
