You'll have to give me a few more details on your "Jerking" issue.

First, what exactly do you mean by jerking. Does the engine try to cut off? Does it do this only when in drive or at idle while in "Park"? When you accelerate, does it hesitate?

If you write back, I'll try to help you from there.

It jerks and you have to keep your foot on the gas so it doesn't die out. My husband changed the wires today hoping that would help but it didn't. It hesitates and wants to kill. Help

I'm sorry that I couldn't have been any help to you. I need the answers to the questions that I asked in order to help you figure out what's wrong.

When your engine runs poorly, there could be several things that could be wrong. (Including the ignition system, fuel system, computer/sensors, as well as something mechanical)

Without supplying enough information, there's absolutely no way I could figure out what's wrong.

For example, I understand that the engine hesitates and wants to die. But "WHEN" does it do this? If it does this while idling and in "Park", this could be a completely different issue than if it's in "Drive" while going down the road.

Also, if it doesn't want to accelerate, then that would tell me something different than if it will accelerate, but only runs rough when idling.

And I'll need to know if the check engine light is on. If so, before writing in, you should take your car to AutoZone and have your computer scanned. They'll do this for free.

Now, if you'd like to elaborate on this issue, I'll try to help you.
