Alternator noise

I have a 1986 chrysler new yorker 2.5 liter engine. First, iÈm having an over heating problem I think Iv blown the water pump, however, could it also bethe electrical(my car told me it was malfunctioning)
also, about the alternater, I have installed a new one 2 weeks ago, today it started sqweeling and got very hot, what should I do.

Remove the belt and check to see if the altinator is binding up, check to see if the water pump is binding up. I have found just because something is new sometimes they are bad. If the altinator is getting hot the bearing could be bad.

Thanks, right now im just waiting for my new water pump, so that will be one problem solved.
