Replacing the alternator on a Crossfire

I have a 2004 Chrysler Crossfire, 3.2L V6, 67,900 miles. Is the changeout of the alternator within the realm of the average home mechanic? If so, can you tell me where I can find a diagram of the serpentine belt path and tension required. Also, are any special tools required? :?: Thank you. Harry Miles

Our program doesnt say anything about removing alot of stuff to get it out, shouldnt be too difficult. If you go to the bottom of the main forum page there is a link for "repair manuals" it goes to Mitchell on Demand, the same software the pros use. It has everything you want to know about your vehicle
