2005 Chrysler Crossfire alternator smoke

2005 Chrysler Crossfire 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive 12.000 miles

I put my crossfire srt6 back on the road for summer i reconnected the battery and it started well put after 10 minutes it cut out and smoke camefrom the alternator i have ordered a new alternator will ther be any damage to the ecu.

Hello,

No there should be no damage done to the ECU. The main fuse would blow before any damage could happen to the ECU.
