Good day, hi its fabian salas I have a question my concorde lxi 96 3.5 I changed the head gaskets and put in original heads that were in and the car starts on key ignition and sounds good the problem is that it idles at 2500 rpm in park and nuetral and in revers and drive in the 1000s rpm, recently I noticed that the map sensor wires got stuck on the intake manifold and were fried and stuck together my car was acting wierd downshifting and taking to long to get out of first gear then I did the heads and noe the computer in my car gives me theses codes 14: map senor voltage to low or to high, code 24:tps senor voltage to low or to high is there any way to fix these with out buying them becuase they are expensive in mexico also when the rpm is at 2500 0r 3v3n 3000 I change to revers and I hear a thoump in the pilot camshaft is it becuase the rpm is to high to change gears? Please help thank you God bless I will donate in a month becuase I start to work again in september so if u can I would apriciate it blessings.

No, no and yes, there is no way to repair the mapp sensor, as it is mostlikely damaged. What you can do, is simply go to a junk yard where you can pick your items and grab the two sensors. For next to nothing. Also you are correct about the thump, the rpms are too high for it to perform correctly. I would also look for pinched vacuum hoses just to play it safe. They too will cause a high idle.

Hey joe, well its me fabian I finaly bought thye map sensor and the tps sensor and the concorde 3.5 96 is still idleing at 2500 rpm and when I shift gears the idle falls down to 1000 but the car starts shacking and maks the thump sound in the reverse or drive position even after changing gears. The ground in the back of thye head is on the top of the camshaft plate on top I will put it on the bottom screw like it should be and also the ground should be on the manifold but I put it on the plate for the alternater I will also put that back tomarrow. Now one of the sparkplugs cables broke and cant get it out of the shaft but I think thats why its shaks in gear only and tomarrow I will check the iac vaulve to see if its clean I am really getting a head ace thye car computer is now with no codes code 55 means no more codes. Help I can't seem to figure it out.

Ok make sure you check/clean the throttleplate of any carbon, it may be sticking open slightly, causing the high idle, and again the iac controls the idle so, it could just be dirty. Not faulty. So that area needs to be cleaned good, also look for pinched vacuum hoses, or cracked ones, and the pcv valve, pop one of those in, if you havent already, that will cause a high idle if it is sticky with carbon on the inside, that can cause it to run sh(*&tty too. The airfilter needs to be clean and the "accordian" looking intake hose coming from the airbox, to the throttlebody, make sure that doesnt have any cracks or holes in it.

Well the mtv. Is not compresing right. ITR IS TURNING OFF NOW, and I pushed the gas checking rail and it spit gas with out presure, I think itr might be that the egr ain't working or the mtv but im going to check them with a volt meter. Thanks ill let u know if its good or not or if you have any solutions let me know please thanks.
