1994 Chrysler Concorde engine light coes on do not see any

We bought this car used and its been running great. We notice that every so often the check engine light comes on and after we turn car off and then back on its gone. We have not seen any raise in temperature or see any smoke or smells. No problems with turning the wheel or anything. We are wondering if it could be just a computer thing or because someone might have screwed something up when they tried to steal the airbgs out. Any information would be great.
