I have a 1955 International with a 350 chevy engine.

I have had the altenator and battery tested and they are fine. I can charge the battery and it hold a charge but eventually runs down each time I start the truck. It seems the altenator just is't charging the battery. I jumped the truck the other day and drove around for about an hour, came back pulled in the garage turned off the truck and tryed to start it back up and it still would not start. Any help thanks :

If the alt is charging and the battery is good all that is left is the wires and connectors. What voltage do you get from the battery running and not running?

Make sure there is no unknown drain on the battery. A glove box light, hood light, or anything else you can think of.

Good luck and let us know. :)

Well I checked the voltage running and not running at the battery and found out they were the same.

So I search the wires back to the starter and one is close to the header and has been burned in two.

Thanks for the help
