1986 Chevy Van acceleration problem when cold

When cold dies or no acceleration 305 with quadrojet just had carb rebuilt new plugs acc pump is working problem disapears when warmed up mechanic says he is baffled could be most anything help fuel pump good pressure, new fuel filter, choke is working as should

With carburators it is a fine line between working as it should and working perfectly. Recheck the choke operation, if the engine runs good when warm, the carburator is working properly but the choke isnt.L

Check for any vacuum leaks and check the egr valve to make sure it is closing properly
