The alternator on my Corsica went out back in July. I had it replaced and it ran fine. This past weekend the car died on me, my stepdad came and we charged the battery for about 5-10 minutes. We then got it home and took off the alternator and took it to Advance Auto they said that it was fine. I then took the battery there, which they said was bad, so I bought a new one. This morning on my way to work the car died again and wouldn't start. Seeing as how it is a new alternator and brand new battery does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

Our car did this because the ground wires were loose, and we had a I guess you could describe it as a burn in the cable, the thick black one, we spliced the cable, firmly fastened the ground wire and havent had a problem since. Well with this specific problem, although not the exact same kind of car.
