I have a 1996 chevy blazer 4X4 2-door. And when it sets for like 4 days its harder to start but if it set for a week it wont start with out starting fluid. I dont know why but under normal driving everyday, it start with a fast, simple turn of the key like pushing a button. And I get unbelieveable bad gas milage any way to help that? And sorry for bad spelling. Please help!

Hi Ken,
It sounds like the fuel is draining out of the lines and back into the tank. There may be a check valve not holding up that is part of the pump.

Try this:

Turn the key to the on position for a few seconds while the pump is enegerizing the lines. Turn the key back to the off position for a couple seconds. Repeat this 3 times, and then crank it. Does it start right up now?
