1994 Chevy Caprice cuts off after running for 5 minutes

I have a 1994 chevy caprice with the police package in it (LT-1 engine). When I cut it on, it will only run for about 5 minutes then it cuts off and wont start for about an hour. I dont know what to do. Help please

Please give more detail. Does it over heat? Are all fluids full? What have you done to the car lately?

The fluids are good. I changed the fuel pump and filter recently because the pump went bad. Thats all I know so far. I've had about 6 of these, and this is the 1st 1 that I cant find the problem with
