1985 Chevy 305 weak spark

1985 chevy k10 pickup with a 305 carb. My problem is the truck sparks every once in a while and when it does its real weak like a orange flame not blue. I changed the spark plugs and wires and I had that black box in the distributor checked and it tested ok. I am out of ideas thank you for your help

Answering your PM. Replace or rebuild the crb, if the secondaries were wired open when you bought it, there is a problem with the linkage or throttle plate, if they don't work, when you punch it the seconday opens for the extra power! No secondary=no power! It's bogging cause the primary can't handle the demand!
