91 S-10-Blazer transmission issue - wheel spins from stop

4.3 V-6 with automatic transmission and a manual 4 wheel transfer case shift lever on the floor. When shift in to forward or reverse one of the wheels spins at high speed killing the engine. Is this a transmission or transfer case issue or both? Is my transmission toast? HELP!

If all is good in 2 wheel drive. Replace the control unit on transfer case!

On further investigation it does the same thing in all modes. 2 wheel/4wheel hi & 4 low. It is one of the rear wheels that is spining. It is acting like a manual transmission without a clutch.
