The SES light came on and the diagnostic code said that the #3 cylinder was mis-firing. I replaced all 6 spark plugs, and now the car is running VERY rough at idle and sluggish acceleration. Why?

If you raise the idle a little does the missfire go away? And is it the same cylinder? And did you switch coils to see if the missfire changes to another cylinder? Post back with what you find.

Thank-you very much for you time to reply to my posting. Your response to my question was "somewhat" helpful. What I ending up doing was to take all of the coils off, cleaned each connection, then put on some conductive grease. This worked perfectly.

The reason I asked is because these vehicles have alot of cylinderhead problems, so I asked to lead you in the wright direction. Atleast its fixed.
