MY BLAZER JUST GOT A NEW ENGINE LAST YEAR, AND HAS ABOUT 20, 00 MILES ON IT. I KEEP GETTING A SES LIGHT, BUT THEN IT TURNS OFF AFTER ABOUT 20 MILES. I KNOW THIS MEANS THERE IS A MISFIRE IN THE 5TH CYLINDER, BUT A LITTLE UNSURE AS TO WHAT I SHOULD DO. I KNOW TO CHECK THE SPARK PLUGS AND WIRES, ANYTHING ELSE?

Hello,

Well there won't be much to check for the plug wires cause all there is the plug boot. Your vehicle has the Coil Over which is that there is a coil that sets on top of each plug.

Do check the boot. A good way to check to see it there is a bad boot is to wait till gets dark unless you have a garage you can darken start the vehicle and look for sparks

Also check your wiring to the coil. Could also be a bad coil. When they replace the engine did they use a lot of the parts off your old engine?
