2002 Chevy Trailblazer Four Wheel Drive Automatic 80000 miles

my truck will not come out of first gear and I took it to a trans place and they said that is not the problem that is electical do you know what it may be

If its electrical it is usually your ignition switch. When in the run position the ignition switch does not send power to the transmission solenoids, the transmission then goes into failsafe and is stuck in second gear.
