I have a blazer and just started receiving the trouble code 34/Map Sensor. The vehicle idles great but hesitates (stumbles) at low speeds. I also noticed that there is gas in the top end of the engine where the crab (CFI) unit is located. Will this cause the code and the hesitation at the low speed? Also I priced the CFI unit which is 653.00 dollars, will I need to replace the whole unit or just the fuel pressure regulator? I am somewhat mechanically inclined but usually take it to my mechanic which I know will cost me an arm and a leg. Any help would be great.

Thanks
Bill

If this 4.3 has the injection spider. That unit on top with the 12 wires going to it and six legs, then Iv'e worked on one before. Those things at the end of the legs (look like injectors) are poppet nozzles. Those tend to get clogged over time. On the truck I worked on I had the owner purchase a salvage inj. Spider $75. Prior to this replacement the truck would not even start.I removed the spider and had him crank the engine w/ coil(s) unpulgged. I could see that 3 of the nozzles werent squirting at all.
