This morning when my husband tried to start the car, it wouldnt turn over. He tried again and it finally started. But then the check engine light, the check traction control light and the check stability light came on and when he drove (only a few miles) he said it felt like it jerked every time it kicked into gear. We do have an aftermarket warranty but are still concerned it might not cover it. Do you have any idea what this could be?

Here is what I need you to do. Take the vehicle to a nationally recognized parts store and have the computer scanned. It will identify where the problem is coming from. Most will do it for free so there is no money out of pocket.

This will help us identify what is causing the problem. If I had to guess, I would say there is a problem with a sensor (VSS). All of the items described are tied together.

Let me know what code you get from the store and I will be better to help you. Without the code, everything I say is a guess.
