2003 Chevy Tahoe fan speed only works on high

I've got a 03 tahoe and the fan speed only kicks in and works when its cranked all the way to high/5. Help?

Next to the blower motor is the fan speed control resistor. Follow the power wire back from blower to it. This is most likely the culprit

Your circuit starts at the control switch and then thru the blower motor resistor which will control the speed of the blower motor by increasing/decreasing resistances. Right now its bypassing the resistor and going direct to the motor without controlling the speed of the motor.
