2002 Chevy Tahoe V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 67,000 miles
My 2002 tahoe has started making a shuddering noise right at 1 1/2 RPMs from 1st to 2nd gear. We were advised to get the trans flushed and maint. Package done. Did that and it makes shuddering noise again. Only at 1 1/2 rpms going from 1st to 2nd gear.I usually have 3 yound children with me at all times and am terrified of getting stuck somewhere. Sick of run around. PLEASE help
There is a tech bulliten on harsh 1-2 shift, usually the service engin soon light is on? Here's the bulliten's first page, use the TSB# and call Chevy about it.

Ok. So in layman terms. Does this mean my trans is going up? Is this an expensive fix?

My service engine light has never come on with this. If it is the trans, should it come on?

This is the fix for your concern, may or may not set a code, the valvebody needs to be removed and inspected/cleaned, can be done without removing the tranny. Not sure of the cost, but it isnt a complete rebuild.
